Hello, I am Avery
Project manager. Parent. An expatriate based in Springfield, United States.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Began
Moving to United States wasn’t in the long-term plan. As with many international transfers, it started as a job opportunity and quickly grew into something far larger.
The initial months were demanding — fresh systems, new habits, new expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complicated than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning on the fly. Yet gradually, routines established themselves. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created Mivze Loran Ucel
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical advice based on real life in United States.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Practical know-how from residing in United States
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated only when a real change occurs
This site ISN'T:
- Not an official tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in United States goes on, as does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I will continue recording what we find.
If you have questions about family life in Springfield or anywhere in United States, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Avery
